It all started with a 12 year old who loved to steal her mom’s camera and take pretty pictures.
Similar to most people, my life has ebbed and flowed, the hobbies I like have changed, and the settings surrounding my life have altered. Photography remained the same.
When I let photography out shadow who I am and I couldn’t bring myself to pick up my camera. Photography remained the same. When there was healing and I opened my camera bag again. Photography remained the same.
Portraits are more than just perfect smiles, hair and poses. They should demonstrate who each person is. My favorite thing about taking photos of people is catching those moments in between the perfect smiles.

My favorite things include Jesus, humans, photography, calligraphy, musicals, weddings, reading, the ocean, movies and spreadsheets.
My least favorite things include lying, waiting in lines, iPhones pretending to be DSLR’s, people being rude to wait staff, when my favorite jeans get a hole in them, and bugs.
